Welcome and thank you for your interest in Old Charlie Golf Club. We are incredibly excited to tell you all about it, and we hope you’ll consider joining. Our initial founding membership offering, The Goat Track Society, is available now while space remains. When you’re ready to join, you can do so at our shop.
Old Charlie is a planned 18-hole private golf club that will be located in a secluded area of the Florida panhandle about 30 miles north of Rosemary Beach. We are just a 6-minute drive to I-10, less than an hour to three area airports (ECP, PNS, and VPS), and only a four-hour drive from Atlanta, Jacksonville, and New Orleans. Most of the country can get here in less than a day, and it’s worth the trip. It’s hard to go wrong with a beach paradise, the 30A Corridor, and Old Charlie.
The golf course will be designed by Keith Rhebb and Riley Johns, two experienced shapers who spent years working alongside Coore & Crenshaw and others before striking out on their own. They had a hand in shaping iconic clubs like Cabot Cliffs and Point Hardy, and have won acclaim for their original designs at Winter Park 9, Forest Dunes, and others. The property we’ve given them to work with is dramatic and perfect for golf, featuring over 100ft of elevation change, significant internal movement, and (our favorite) a high point to the west where the sun sets.
When it is complete, we fully expect Old Charlie to be considered among the finest clubs in Florida.
The membership structure at Old Charlie is set up like a vacation club for golf. Plan a day or a weekend to visit, claim those spots when you join, and enjoy that time with us every year for life.
And it’s meant for everyone. You can join for as little as $500, there are no referrals or invitations required, and our laid-back approach is meant to be less intimidating and stuffy than some other clubs.
We strongly believe that things that make us better are meant to be shared. Golf makes us better. It brings us together in ways that encourage conversation, competition, laughter, and love. It sparks our curiosity and fosters a greater appreciation of nature, of strategy, and of history. And, as we’ve said many times, it’s also just a really, really fun thing to do while you’re day-drinking with your buddies.
Our goal with Old Charlie, simply put, is to create one of the very best golf experiences anywhere, at any price, and then to share it with as many people as possible.
