Membership Overview and Categories

Old Charlie is a private destination club with a national membership. We expect our members to come from all over and spend a limited amount of time with us each year. It costs less to join Old Charlie because you only pay for the time that you’re here.

And it pays to join early. Our first wave of founding members will automatically become part of the Goat Track Society (GTS). This is a limited membership category that includes significant additional benefits.

GOAT TRACK SOCIETY MEMBER BENEFITS:

• Special pricing. Future membership categories will be priced higher

• Access to the play date calendar before anyone else. ALL GTS members get to choose play dates before other membership categories; this is a significant advantage if you want to get the perfect date(s) every year

• First dibs on construction tours and preview play. This works the same way as the play date calendar; ALL GTS members get first right of refusal on pre-opening events.

• Free bonus golf: In addition to the regular play date(s) you purchase, you’ll be invited to participate in one of several separate events to be held each year, collectively called The Goat Track Challenges. There will be approximately 14 of these events held across the year, each of which will take place outside of the normal play date calendar. They are designed to be fun and relaxed, and are (mostly) completely on the house for invitees. We’ll cover the golf, the welcome gifts, and the food at these events. You cover the lodging and drinks. They’re going to be a blast!

• Important Note: At present, the Goat Track Society membership category is the only one available. If a reservation is available for purchase, then your purchase automatically gets you in. The Goat Track Society is a limited membership category and will sell out. Other membership categories will be announced at a later date. Specific GTS benefits are noted below.

Core Membership Benefits

1. RESERVATION DATES and GOLF

Description:

Membership to Old Charlie works by the reservation. One player for one day is one reservation:

• Each reservation grants unlimited golf on a single date for a single individual each year.

• Reservation date selection (choosing the specific date of your visit) takes place prior to each season. Members receive access to reservation date selection and special event registration based on their membership category and signup order (see details below). ALL GTS members will choose their play dates before any other future membership category gets to choose. This is a huge advantage if you want a perfect date each year.

• The date can change from year to year, but must match up with the reservation category purchased (summer weekday, for example).

• There are no guests, in the traditional sense, at Old Charlie. All players must be assigned to a specific reservation. The players assigned to each reservation can change from year to year, making membership extremely flexible.

A member can have just one reservation, which gives them access to Old Charlie for just a single day each year, or they can have several. Multiple reservations can be used for multiple days, multiple guests, or a combination of both.

For every reservation purchase you can expect the following:

• Unlimited golf on your reserved date. Carts, if you care to use them, are included. The golf is covered as part of your annual dues payment, so you won’t pay anything additional for golf on your play date.

• You’ll share the course with a maximum of just 71 other players on your reserved play date, regardless of season or day of week.

• Course conditions will be seasonally appropriate and consistently excellent. Old Charlie will not be open during aeration periods or during other maintenance events that might impact the quality of your golf experience.

Extra benefits for GTS members:

• Absolute first priority in selecting reservation dates for all golf rounds

• First right of refusal for preview play and special events (construction tours, golf outings, etc.)

• Selection priority determined by:

  • Total number of reservations purchased (primary factor)​

2. GOAT TRACK CHALLENGES - FREE BONUS GOLF

Description:

In appreciation for their early support, we’ve created the Goat Track Challenges for our Goat Track Society members. These are special days (apart from the normal play date calendar) that will be set aside each year for our GTS members to come out and enjoy a day of golf on us. You cover lodging and your drinks, and we’ll handle the golf, carts, food, and the rest of it. There’ll be some amazing one-of-a-kind swag at these events and, we’re certain, plenty of great surprises.

We’ll announce the dates for the Goat Track Challenges by season, well enough in advance for our members to arrange a visit. The final format of the events are TBD, but what we have in mind is something like a two-person best ball tournament (gross and net) with lots of surprises.

GTS Member Advantage:

• Goat Track Challenge events are only available to Goat Track Society members.

• We will have several (about 14) Goat Track Challenge events each year. As with our other events, date selection priority determined by:

  • Total number of reservations purchased (primary factor)​

  • Timestamp of purchase (secondary factor)​

3. EXCLUSIVE HOLE DESIGN OPPORTUNITY​

Description:

A unique chance to leave a permanent legacy. All Founding Member categories (including GTS) are eligible to submit an entry to our hole design contest. The winner's design will become a hole on Old Charlie.

GTS Member Advantage:

• All Founding Member categories (pre-construction) are eligible to enter, including GTS members

Contest Details:

• Entry available to original reservation purchaser only. Sorry, this one will have to be one entry per purchase, not per reservation. However, if a group purchases via split payment, each member of the split payment group will be eligible for an entry.

• Comprehensive guidelines and submission requirements forthcoming

• Judging and determination for inclusion in final design is at the sole discretion of our owners and course designers. We reserve the right to make draft and field adjustments to the final winning design as necessary.

• Timeline will align with overall course development phases

• On-course recognition plaque for the winning designer

4. PRE-OPENING EXPERIENCES

Description:

Members receive access to special pre-opening events both at Old Charlie and at other sites around the country.

On-Property Events:

• Guided construction tours showcasing course development

• Preview golf rounds prior to official opening

• Behind-the-scenes access to course creation process

Off-Site Events:

• Regional golf outings at select premier courses

  • Locations influenced by geographic distribution of membership

• Networking opportunities with fellow members

GTS Member Advantage:​

• First right of refusal for all pre-opening events

• Selection priority determined by:

  • Total number of reservations purchased (primary factor)​

  • Timestamp of purchase (secondary factor)

  • Note: for some events demand may far exceed available supply. Selection priority above will apply to the right of first refusal for each available date.

Note: Timing and Financial Considerations:

• Reasonable notice for planned events will be provided to allow members to secure time off and/or lodging as necessary.

• Some events may require additional fees

  • Preview play rates capped at standard green fee rates (approximately $150 or less)

  • Transparent pricing for all events communicated well in advance

5. VIBRANT MEMBER COMMUNITIES 

Description:

Members will receive invites to private Discord server and Facebook Groups for Old Charlie members.

Digital Platforms:

• Exclusive access to members-only Facebook group

• Private Discord server for real-time communication

  • GTS-specific password-restricted areas for premier members

Community Benefits:

Membership Terms

Duration:​

• Lifetime membership with annual dues structure

• Continued benefits contingent upon good standing status

Transfer Provision:

• One-time transfer option available exclusively for GTS members after Old Charlie has been open for one full calendar year

• Transfer protocol will be clearly outlined in comprehensive Member Guide

• Administrative fees may apply

Resignation Policy:

• Accepted in writing with appropriate notice

• Initiation fees non-refundable

• Annual dues refund policy:

  • Full refund if resignation occurs before scheduled reservation date

  • No refund if resignation occurs after scheduled reservation date

Guest Policy

Reservation System:

• NO GUESTS WITHOUT A RESERVATION - All golfers must be linked to a purchased reservation

• Flexible usage allows reservation holders to assign their slots to different golfers each year

• Old Charlie does not offer traditional guest privileges - every person playing must have a valid reservation

Booking Process:

• Clear online system for assigning reservations

• Advance notification requirements

• Streamlined check-in for all players
